Corton Sands
The beach that came before the decision
This painting was made at Corton Sands, on a late spring visit just before the decision was made to move to the East Coast. The air was still brisk - that particular coastal briskness that wakes you up and makes you feel alive - and the beach stretched wide and open in the way that Suffolk beaches do.
There is something quietly significant about this painting. It was made at a moment of possibility, on a beach that was about to become home. Looking at it now, it feels like the beginning of something - a painting that holds the feeling of standing somewhere and knowing, without quite saying it yet, that you will come back.

Collecting original art
Owning an original painting means owning something no one else in the world has. This piece was painted entirely by hand by Marta Stolarska - every sweep of the beach observed, every breath of brisk coastal air felt and considered. It arrives framed.
Corton Sands in late spring, the air still brisk - a painting made just before a place became home.
