Lake District & Northern England Paintings

The Lake District has a particular hold on the imagination - fells rising steeply from still water, ancient stone circles, and skies that change by the minute. These paintings capture that sense of scale and solitude, alongside other landscapes from the north of England where the land feels wilder and the light more dramatic. A  place to see, a place to be in. I travel there every year and it never disappoints.

Most work is painted in the studio, drawn from sketches and memories gathered on location.
