Birmingham & West Midlands Paintings

From the industrial canals of Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter to the ancient woodland of the Lickey Hills, the West Midlands holds a surprising range of landscapes - gritty and beautiful in equal measure. These paintings find the poetry in familiar places: a winter street, a church spire, a hillside in bluebell season.

Some works works are painted on location, or in the studio, drawn from sketches and memories gathered on location, others from imagination, shaped by years of living among these places.
