Stream in the Golden Season
Part memory, part imagination - all autumn
This painting began with a trip to the Lake District in the golden season - that brief, luminous window when the fells turn amber and copper and the streams run cold and clear beneath a canopy of colour. Part of it came from a photograph taken on that visit. The rest came from somewhere deeper - from the feeling of the place, the quality of the light, the way autumn in the Lakes stays with you long after you have left.
The result is a landscape that is both real and dreamed - rooted in a specific place and moment, but given room to breathe and glow in the way that only imagination allows. A painting that captures not just what the Lakes look like in autumn, but what they feel like.

Collecting original art
Owning an original painting means owning something no one else in the world has. This piece was painted entirely by hand by Marta Stolarska - every golden tone observed and felt, every ripple of the stream considered with care.
The Lakes in autumn - half seen, half remembered, and painted with the warmth of both.
