Moon Over Oulton Broad
The moon rising over the Broad - a scene just steps from home
This is a view I know by heart. Oulton Broad sits just outside our door, and on clear evenings the Suffolk sky puts on a quiet show that never gets old. The moon appears early, still pale against the last warmth of the sunset, hanging above the treeline while the day slowly lets go. On clear nights like this one, with the sky wide and uninterrupted, the moon and stars feel closer than anywhere else.
This small painting captures that particular moment just after sunset - the sky still holding its colour, the moon already present, the trees below settling into silhouette. It is a scene painted from a place of deep familiarity and genuine love for this corner of Suffolk.

Collecting original art
Every original painting in the studio is a one-of-a-kind piece - once it finds its home, it is gone. If this painting speaks to you, it is worth trusting that feeling. Original art brings something into a space that a print simply cannot - the texture of the brushwork, the knowledge that a real person stood before a real view and tried to capture it honestly.
A moonlit evening over Oulton Broad, Suffolk - painted from life, just steps from the studio door.
